Fast and Accurate Autofocus
With up to 30 frames per second, the SL3-S uses advanced algorithms—phase detection, object recognition, and contrast detection—to reliably capture subjects with unprecedented speed.
Flexible Operability
Photo and video modes have independent menu structures for seamless and intuitive switching. With customizable user interfaces and abundant connectivity options, the SL3-S flexibly adapts to advanced shooting needs. It supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection to the Leica FOTOS app, enabling stable, high-speed data transfer and a fully supported creative workflow.
Sensor with Built-in Image Stabilization
At the heart is a 24MP back-illuminated (BSI) CMOS full-frame sensor with exceptional resolution and low-light performance. Powered by the LEICA MAESTRO IV processor, it enables massive data handling and efficient stabilization. In Multi-Shot Mode, you can shoot not only at 24MP, but also at 48MP and 96MP equivalents, with excellent noise reduction, color fidelity, and dynamic range.
Video-wise, it supports CFexpress Type B memory cards and efficient codecs for up to 6K recording, including L-Log color space highly regarded by professionals worldwide.
A True Hybrid Camera
The SL3-S shines in video production environments. It easily records 6K RAW via HDMI, offering uncompromising quality in both photo and video. Open Gate 3:2 aspect ratio shooting (instead of traditional 16:9) makes full use of the sensor area, enhancing editing flexibility while maintaining clear, high-quality results even after format changes.

The Leica SL3-S features a menu system that automatically switches between vertical and horizontal display depending on camera orientation. Photo and video modes are color-coded for quick recognition in any situation. The graphical user interface (GUI) is fully customizable to suit individual shooting styles and workflows.
Strengthened Digital Workflow
Advanced connectivity elevates your workflow. With MIMO-enabled Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, enjoy stable, high-speed connections with the Leica FOTOS app, allowing rapid transfer of DNG images and videos. You can also control the camera from your mobile device or update firmware. Use Leica Looks presets directly on JPGs to achieve Leica’s signature rendering.
Versatile Connectivity
The SL3-S comes fully equipped to handle any shooting scenario. It includes slots for CFexpress Type B and UHS-II SD cards, HDMI Type A, timecode sync for audio/video, USB-C, and compatibility with Apple-certified accessories like iPhone and iPad. It also supports tethered shooting using Capture One, significantly enhancing efficiency on professional sets and seamlessly supporting your workflow.
