Highlights:

1. Viewfinder magnification is 0.72x.

2. The surfaces of the optical parts are coated to reduce the effects of stray light.

3. In addition to the traditional two triangular indicators showing exposure in the viewfinder,

a red dot has been added to display current exposure status, along with battery level indication.

4. The top cover material has been upgraded:

The original Leica M6 top cover was made of zinc die-cast,

but the 2022 version is solid brass, finished with highly scratch-resistant black paint.

5. The front logo is the classic red "Leitz" logo, just like on the 1984 Leica M6.

The newly released Leica M6 is a faithful reissue of the original, carrying on key design elements such as the angled rewind crank, and many other iconic features.

At the same time, it incorporates improvements like an enhanced rangefinder and new functions that weren’t available back then.

Yet both the original and the new Leica M6 share the same philosophy:

Only the essential features for photography are included.
